Start Date: ASAP Roster: FIFO roster 8:6 from Perth to Pilbara Team: Rerail Team 4 Rates: Subject to experience and aligned with the current industry award Employment Type: Casual to Permanent About the Role: As an HD Fitter, you will support rerail and rail recovery operations, maintaining heavy diesel and rail equipment essential to keeping rail networks operational. This role includes fault finding, preventative maintenance, and repairs across a range of heavy mobile and rail machinery. You will work closely with an experienced team in both field-based and rail maintenance environments, gaining exposure to specialist rail equipment and ongoing training opportunities. Duties & Responsibilities Maintain and service heavy diesel and rail maintenance equipment Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults Perform breakdown repairs during rail operations Conduct planned servicing and preventative maintenance Maintain loaders, excavators, rail equipment, and LV's Complete service records, maintenance logs, and reports Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments Support rerail operations and field-based maintenance Ensure tools and equipment remain in safe working order Communicate maintenance issues to supervisors Skills & Experience Only candidates with the following will be considered: Trade Qualification: Heavy Diesel Fitter / Plant Mechanic (AUS/NZ recognised) Construction Induction Card (White Card) C Class Driver’s Licence (HR highly regarded) Current First Aid, CPR or Fire Attack training Full Australian Working rights - WA Based!
